This hairstreak is identified by the black spot and tails on the hindwing. Aka Miserabilis hairstreak. Wing Span: 7/8 - 1 1/8 inches (2.2 - 3 cm).
Spotted at the butterfly garden in Falcon Lake State Park. Much of the surrounding area is Tamaulipan thorn-scrub habitat.
