Micronia aculeata

Description:

Large moth. Wings white, closely striated. Black spot at base of tail of hindwing.

Habitat:

Weeds on roadside verge. Urban residential area.

Notes:

No common name which is surprising because I have seen single specimens in many different places...so not rare!
