Description:

The bark has distinctive squares that resembles alligator skin. Their was several of these scattered about at the base of Guadalupe Peak. Most were 10 to 12 ft tall.

Habitat:

Spotted in the Guadalupe Mountain foothills. Elevation near 6000. ft.
