Description:

Large, bulky lizards, adult males can be up to three feet long including the tail. It is generally herbivorous, eating mainly the fruits of legumes. They also eat many small vertebrates and insects. They have lived up to 20 years in captivity.

Habitat:

Lowland dry forest

Notes:

Impossible to catch, they would dash down burrows when you approached.
