Pyralis farinalis
Wingspan 18-30 mm. Dark and lighter browns separated by wavy lines. Adults rest characteristically with the tip of the abdomen curved up at right-angles to the body. Often associated with human occupation especially near grain storage, which they can decimate.
Spotted next to Warden Lake in eastern Washington.
In China this moth is used in their "insect tea".
