Acer circinatum
Tree-like shrub to 22 ft (7 m). Simple leaves with palmate venation and serrate-toothed margins on a petiole at least 2 in (5 cm) long, turning red in fall if in sun or yellow if in shade. Flowers are born in hanging terminal clusters. They are white with red sepals. Fruit are wingnuts, reddish when ripe, borne in pairs.
