In California I saw them twice. Once in the hills next to the shore in Hwy1 towards Monterey and another time in the mountains in the area of Yosemite. In the moment they see you coming out of the car they are already running and they are quite fast, this is why I always get just their backs! :-)

Thanks ZooNerd! It was a pleasure for me to spot a coyote for a second time during my trip to US. One day I hope I can also see wolves in their natural habitat (future plans :-)

Cool a coyote. I love those kinds of dogs they are my second favorite next to the Timber wolf which is my first favorite of the wild dogs. That is a good photo. Keep it up and aim for the top. :)
