Buff striped keelback snake

Amphiesma stolatum

Description:

This snake is also known as Pagel ( in Tulu language ) . It is a small , slender snake ; there are two yellow longitudinal stripes running through out the body ( clearly visible in the posterior region ) . The tip of the tail is pointed .

Habitat:

Found this species in the garden .

Notes:

It was very calm as well as shy at the same time . This was not offensive towards we when i was clicking the photograph .
