White-veined Pipevine

Aristolochiaceae fimbriata

Description:

Small ground-cover type perennial vine. May grow to 3 ft. mound. Exotic 1in. bloom. Up to 3 in. heart shaped, dark green leaves with silver veins. Self sows.

Habitat:

Likes light shade, but does well in partial to full shade, or sun with water.

Notes:

Larval plant for Pipevine Swallowtail. If caterpillars eat it to ground, it will return from tuberous roots for next crop of eggs.
