Description:

Small gelatinous fungi, 1 to 5 mm in diameter, cushion shaped. Resupinated, i.e. upside down. There are two forms, the main and the conidial or anamorph which is more reddish coloured. They practically have no stem, joining directly to the surface (sessile). The hymenium is submerged in the surface of the fruiting body. Notice the slime mold in the down right corner, Enerthenema papillatum

Habitat:

On decaying wood. Pine tree and evergreen oak forest
