Rasalia funebris
Prothorax whitish with large bluish-gray spot at center, sharp points at sides. Head black. Antennae long, bluish gray and white with black tips.
Forests and woods. California to Alaska, also New Mexico. Larva feeds on Larvae feed in dead hardwood trees: maple, alder, oak, willow, etc. Eggs are laid on bark. Larvae tunnel inward, later prepare pupal chambers.
Asian Longhorn Beetle is superficially similar but a non-native pest species.
