Sikkim Sacada

Sacada sikkima (Moore, 1879)

Description:

Length: head to wingtip, 30mm

Habitat:

Wildlife sanctuary with thick forest, mainly consisting of oak, rhododendron, high altitude thin bamboo, etc. Altitude: about, 2,400m.

Notes:

I am happy to mention here that this moth has a name after my state of Sikkim! Coincidentally, my earlier spotting of this moth - April 30, 2014 - PN had given it the title of 'The Moth of The Month'!
