Thanks LittleCloud! It certainly looks very similar but we do have many species around here that look alike so I've asked bugguide for their help too.

From looking around on the internet... the closest I found is the Small Heterocampa Moth (Heterocampa subrotata). If you look around - there are few - but some images of this moth that look like yours. Hope the ID suggestion helps.
