Mountain Goat

Oreamnos americanus

Description:

Large goats with thick, long white fur in winter that often sheds in spring and summer. Males and females have black horns.

Habitat:

14'000 foot peaks in the Rocky Mountains

Notes:

I spotted these two mountain goats while hiking Gray's peak. There weren't any on Torrey's, though. We saw many more when we hiked Mount Evans, which isn't far from Gray's and Torrey's.
