Pacific Black Duck

Anas superciliosa

Description:

The Pacific Black Duck is a dabbling duck found in much of Indonesia, New Guinea, Australia, New Zealand, and many islands in the southwestern Pacific. The second shot needs a caption! Suggested to me so far: "If you're a dragon, then I'm a dinosaur".

Habitat:

A common sight roaming free in the Brisbane Botanic Gardens with Eastern Water dragons; close to the river

Notes:

The dragon has its own spotting: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/220...

LOL. A classic. The water dragons are pretty casual about most things. A fave :-)
