Kangal Dog

Description:

These dogs are not classed as pets here in Turkey as they are either wild or used purely as working dogs. They are an early Mastiff type of dog and always has a black muzzle. Fully grown they can weigh between 100 - 175 lbs. They are used as a guardian for livestock.

Hi Janice, very nice spotting of this type of dog. In this case, it is a domestic dog so it should still go under pets. If you would spot one living in the wild, it could go under mammals. Thanks!
