Description:

Small gray speckled moth found under the bark of a dead Ash tree

Habitat:

Woodlands and open spaces adjacent to woodlands. Larvae are general feeders on leaves of many broadleaf trees and shrubs, including apple, basswood, hawthorn, maple, oak, walnut, raspberry, grape, and greenbrier (Smilax)

Notes:

Found under the bark of a dead Ash tree, Cooper Building office area, The Holden Arboretum, Lake County, Kirtland, OH
