Description:

The shell of a species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusc. Second photo of several of the "lids" or operculum found scattered along with the shells on the shore. These are are tiger's eye or cat's eye.

Habitat:

Spotted along the Gulf of Aqaba shore; common in all regions of the Egyptian Red Sea.
