Pyrops candelaria
Lanternfly, Pyrops candelaria (Spinola, 1839) (Laternaria candelaria and Fulgora candelaria in older literature; family Fulgoridae) is a species of planthopper that lives in Vietnam, Hong Kong, Laos, Thailand and other parts of Southeast Asia. Despite their name, lanternflies do not emit light. Like all lanternflies, P. candelaria feeds on plant sap (from longan and lychee trees, among others). Its long, slender proboscis is used to pierce tree bark to reach the sap. They are often sought out by collectors. (Wikipedia)
