Hi, Bill. This is actually a mantisfly, which is in a much different order than the true mantids. It's incredible how much they resemble each other structurally, isn't it? :-)

Hi Bill. I think this is not a Mantis (Mantodea) but a Mantis fly (Mantispidae)
