Lovely photos and video!
Nice series and video
Fabulous spotting! Since you know the species could you please add the scientific name? This assists with searches in the database and helps to contribute data for this species.
An excellent spotting, Hemant. A decent coot photo has always eluded me, and now I reckon I should just throw the towel in. These photos are sensational and the video was a nice touch. Great stuff! :-)
thank you Tyler :)
Amazing pictures, and video too. I never knew they fed their babies like that - very impressive. Do the young of this species have the ability to forage, or do they depend on their parents for food at that age? All of the young waterfowl species I've seen are much too hyper and impatient; they'd be pecking every grain in sight while waiting to be fed by the parent. p.s. - Those little guys have some BIG feet, haha.
thank you Ava.always difficult to feed the little one :)
Beautiful series. Every still shot is a winner, and the video is so funny! This spotting could go in the Hunters and Animal Feeding Behavior mission at http://www.projectnoah.org/missions/8463...
