Definitely not Gratopsaltria nigrofuscata. Yours is a a Zammara sp., but I cannot tell you exactly which one. There are some species found in Panama and you need different views to determine, specially of the wings and the spots.

Tanks, there were like 8 of them,all flying in the backyard, I was near the Panamá Canal, maybe they came with a Japanese ship? Migrating? but pretty cool any way

Definitely a cicada. The black/green patterning looks like a Japanese Cicada, although I don't know if they are found in Panama. Good find.
