Small thumb size fruit among little clusters of leaves. It's an evergreen ground covering shrub.

The fruit is eaten by the gopher tortoise and other animals as well as people. It's also called a ground oak.

The one I picked doesn't seem ripe and not a bit juicy or flavorful.
