Roughly 18-20 millimeters in body length, colored as shown.

Habitat:

Perched on elm leaf beside paved bike path. Surrounding habitat is dry, sandstone bluffs, grasses, yucca, and Gambel's oak being the dominant vegetation.

Notes:

This is a spring/fall insect that is absent during the summer months.
