I fairly sure this is in the genus Trirhabda. Judging by the size, a female.

Maybe something in Trirhabda. Do you know what plant it is on? Trirhabda are often associated with Goldenrod. There is another genus that is very similar to Trirhabda. I'll have to look it up.

P.S. With Beetles, a dorsal view is generally most helpful, along with an approximate size.
