Asiatic Dayflower

Commelina communis

Description:

Tiny blue flower from 1/8 " to 1/4 " in scale. The foliage is green and vine like, leaves being single lobed and not directly attached to flower, multiple flowers in vine through out plant. Flower has white center with 2 -5 stamen.

Habitat:

Found around mountainous road sides and clearings, sometimes around the guardrails. Open, sunny areas. Soil rather sandy .

Notes:

Not sure wether flower is wild and native to area, or domesticated and brought in for roadside vegetation.
