Teneral damselfly

Description:

This is the first time I've ever seen a damselfly whose body is almost totally clear. There are markings on the head and the last few segments, but the abdomen is basically transparent. It was very hard to see and very skittish (hence the terrible photo quality). I think it's probably a forktail of some kind based on where it was, and since it's clear I think it's an immature specimen.

Habitat:

Near a small pond. I never saw this one on the water, more in the grassy area a few feet away. When it flew away from me, it always flew away from the water and toward the trees.
