Description:

The Blue Dacnis is a passerine bird of the tanager family. It is about 13 cm long and weighing on average 16 grams. Presents strong sexual dimorphism: the male is blue and black, legs red light, while the female is green, with bluish head and legs orange. Its song is a weak chirping.The left-blue is a passerine bird of the tanager family. First photo shows a male, the second shows a female. Third photo is a bit (!) out of focus, but it shows the color pattern in the back of the male.
