12 in. tall Flowers: 1/2 in. Violet or pink, 2-lipped with hood-like upper lip and fringed lower lip; in obling heads atop square stems. Leaves ovate. Blooms: June- September

"Heal-all" was a name derived from the plant's wide use as an herbal remedy for throat ailments.
So yes, it is a medicinal plant!
