Spotting

Description:

Looks like a kite fledgling. Found him late in the evening perched on the lower branches. With signs of deforestation and soaring heat, this bird looked lost.

Notes:

It was a lovely spotting. Perched on the lower branches and quite close to the ground (about 7 ft). was not alarmed to find us (me and my son) staring at him :)

Will take me a while I guess( could be a technical problem on birdforum.net). Trying out: http://www.a-home-for-wild-birds.com/you... and hope it works. Thanks again, Liam!

It's not an Accipiter, they have pale eyes in all plumages, and long tails: http://orientalbirdimages.org/search.php...
White-eyed Buzzard juveniles have dark eyes: http://orientalbirdimages.org/search.php...

However, I'm not seeing enough white on the wing for White-eyed Buzzard.
I can't come up with any better suggestion, though.

Try asking the folks on Birdforum.net: http://www.birdforum.net/forumdisplay.ph...
