It is very possible this was Brazil as on the amazon river one side is Colomiba and the other side is Brazil.
Nymphalidae, Melitaeini/Crescents, Eresia nauplius. My link shows the ssp. from Brazil. I did not yet found the one from Colombia, since they look a little bit different.
