Brown Headed Nuthatch

Sitta pusilla

Description:

A small, delightful little gray-and-brown bird, which mostly climbs around on trees but will sometimes comes to feeders.

Habitat:

Backyard full of pine trees, backed onto narrow greenway.

Notes:

I actually had far more of these come to my feeder when I lived in the suburbs than I do now, in the country, possibly due to an urban oasis effect.
