Aoudad

Ammotragus lervia

Description:

Edit: Compression is terrible on this one, I'll have to fix it sometime. Some Barbary sheep we have here at our local small town zoo. Also known as Auodads these sheep are native to Northern Africa. They're fairly rare in captivity and are listed as Vulnerable in the wild. These guys are kept in a several acre large enclosure in a drive around roundabout among bison, elk, llamas, etc and are thus hard to see and to photograph.

Habitat:

Scattered through Northern Africa.
