Rigidoporus laetus

Description:

These brackets were about 80 mm wide arising from a wide base forming shelves on wood. The upper surface was leathery and a pinkish brown while the fertile under surface was pale with fine pores. Shelf margins were rounded.

Habitat:

Growing on a dead damp tree stump (possibly Eucalyptus) in a damp temperate forest - Sherbrooke Forest, Dandenong Ranges
