Pilosocereus cf. aurisetus
Popularly known as "Kiwi do cerrado" this species of cactus colors the Brazlian grasslands in the Espinhaço mountain range during the winter with its beautiful blue fruit.
This species grows in quartzitic rock outcrops in Brazilian campo rupestre vegetation (Taylor and Zappi 2004) in the Espinhaço mountain range.
The species is endemic to central and north of Minas Gerais, Brazil. It occurs from 650 m -1,300 m (Taylor and Zappi 2004) and is sparsely distributed and not locally abundant.
