Ornamental Date Palm

Description:

An ornamental species of date palms. The crown is symmetrical.

Habitat:

Found along roadsides near freshwater streams called resacas. It is said to tolerate a wide range of soils and is very heat tolerant. As opposed to our local native palms it does not tolerate standing water.
