Alopochen aegyptiacus
A bundle of young egyptian geese sighted in a lake in Frankfurt this summer. These ducks I see often in the campus where I work and I amazed to sometimes see them perched in high branches of trees and even at the top of buildings. The couples often pair for life. The couple cares for their offspring until they can fend for themselves

Thanks, Sachindra! I was around that lake with work colleagues for a conference. One of my colleagues just said: "agh..aren´t these ducks so ugly!"...I could not feel less against her opinion. They are beautiful and sweet babies of a wonderful species of goose so I wanted to immortalize them and share their beauty here in PN :-)
