Eastern Cottontail

Sylvilagus floridanus

Description:

Little bunny! I think it's a juvenile. Or could it be a New England cottontail rather than Eastern? I'm not sure of the other differences apart from size.

Notes:

This cutie was very brave and let me scoot pretty close before running away! (must have known what a hopeless bunny lover i am) I took this with my iPhone so I had to zoom all the way in and the quality isn't great but I see these guys in my backyard almost every evening. I will try and take a better picture with a real camera another day!
