Bryaninops yongei
This small sized Goby (Bryaninops yongei) has 'cleared' a patch of the Whip Coral and laid her eggs on it. She and her partner will scutter up and down the whip coral and at times rest next to the eggs as though guarding them or aerating them.
The pics shows different Gobies of the same species to illustrate their behaviours. Pic #1 - Resting next to her Eggs but without her body touching it Pic s#2 & #3 - Resting next to her Eggs, with mouth opening and closing frequently as though blowing or aerating her eggs Pics #4 & #5 - Pairs of Gobies in their host Whip Coral
