Cinnabar red chanterelle

Description:

Frequently found along forest paths and next to streams. Like other chanterelles, the false gills descend the stem so that it is hard to see where the stem ends and the cap begins. Exterior is red-orange and flesh is white inside. A good edible, though you need to collect many as they are quite small.
