Beautiful osprey perched after having a fresh fish meal
Ospreys are found worldwide wherever there are rivers, bays, lakes or seacoasts; this makes the Great Lakes region good habitat for this water-loving bird. For feeding, ospreys require expanses of clear, preferable shallow waters, and for nesting the birds favor forested or swampy sites near open water.
