Pantropical Jumping Spider

Plexippus paykulli

Description:

A white and black wall-dwelling jumping spider - Plexippus paykulli. This one is a male, females are brownish. About 7mm in length.

Habitat:

White walls inside Aristo inn in Pinausok, Kundasang, Sabah.

Notes:

Even though this spider has a worldwide distribution, this is the first time I spotted one. The common ones are Plexippus petersi, Plexippus paykulli are much rarer in my neighborhood but this species is much more common in Aristo inn where I spotted it. >>>Map accuracy : 50m diameter.
