Vic, welcome to the Project Noah community. I edited this great spotting for you to get the correct names up there. :) I'm glad you enjoyed my collection of spottings - many more yet to come. Although you are new, you have a very impressive collection already started! I look forward to following you on PN and seeing more cool spottings from you. Cheers!
Thank you Christiane and NeilD. Both of you have great images of wildlife. I enjoyed visiting your spottings! (Is that a word?)
Nice turtle spotting - I love the reflection. Based on the spotting location in Washington, we can rule out River Cooters and Map Turtles I think. They appear to be painted turtles to me, the western subspecies belli.
Welcome to Project Noah.. Great Spotting.. I have moved it to reptiles for you. :)
Thanks Kevin for the ID suggestion. I need all the help I can get in identifying species!
Thanks Alice. It was quite a beautiful day and it looks like the turtles were making the most of it!
Those look more like river cooters to me map turtles arent as big and their shells come to a slight point
