Brown-Banded Hunter Hawkmoth

Theretra silhetensis

Description:

The wings look as it made of thin slivers of wood. There is a dot on each wing. Wing appears notched.

Habitat:

On a Christmas tree (Aurocaria) which was battered by Cyclone Amphan. Urban residential garden. It was resting after a night of torrential rain and terrible gales.

Notes:

I have seen this moth earlier too but it is not common. Moth week 2020
