Arrowhead spider

Habitat:

Caribbean rainforest, Costa Rica.

Notes:

I saw a lot of (really large!) Golden Orb Weavers at Veragua Rainforest Reserve, but this spider I had never seen before... hope someone can help me ID it.

I found no info on V. mexicana. I'm going with Verrucosa arenata for now...

Thanks for the suggestion LivanEscudero - it looks like a good match. I found 2 Verrucosa species recorded for Costa Rica: V. arenata and V. mexicana

I'm trying to find images of V. mexicana to see what it looks like - no luck so far ...
