Hi there Katie & Larry, what a cute little guy! Perhaps it would help if I explained the reason behind the Pats category so you will understand why this belongs there. As a wildlife community, our focus is on wild organisms, ideally in their natural environment. As well as collecting the wonderful photographs of animals that we all enjoy, we are also accruing data that can be used for research & conservation purposes. Because it is important that we can easily differentiate wild organisms from pets that would potentially invalidate the data we generate, we request that all domestic & companion animals including reptiles, amphibians, birds, fish & arthropods, are categorized as pets. We would therefore appreciate it if you would move this spotting back to the pets category. I hope you understand.
Maria: While I agree that WeeMan should be in the Captive Animal mission (and will help my husband to put this spotting there), we both disagree with the 'pet' designation and would both appreciate your not changing the labeling. Thanks. =)
Nice portrait. It is indeed a mammal, but since this horse belongs to someone and is not a wild horse, I moved this to the pets category for you. All domestic and owned animals go into the pets category regardless of species (unless they are in a zoo; then they go in the Captive Animals mission).
