Flat-faced longicorn

Zygocera sp.

Description:

A dark longicorn about 1 mm long. It had heavily pitted elytra. Downy white setae formed patterns on elytra, thorax and head. The base of the elytra had small raised knobs.

Habitat:

Spotted in Yarra Ranges National Park - Mt Donna Buang

Notes:

I am unsure if this is Zygocera or Disterna species. There is some confusion here. Awaiting clarification on Atlas of Living Australia (ALA).
This subfamily of cerambycids are called flat-faced longicorn beetles.
Family: Cerambycidae
Subfamily: Lamiinae
