Common Musk Turtle

Description:

As its name suggests, this little turtle emits an exremely smelly musk It can be extremely common in still bodies of water, but is often not seen, as it usually patrols the bottom searching for food. It may mistaken for a small stone, and the algae often found growing on its shell makes it even more camoflaged.

Habitat:

Shallow, slow moving creek
