Promethea Moths

Callosamia promethea

Description:

I spotted these two moths when looking for frogs with my dad. The orange one was still resting from coming out of the cocoon and the darker one was already mating with her I think.

Habitat:

Cecropia moths are distinguished by red and white striping of the bodies. The darker one is the male, and the lighter one is the female Callosamia promethea, Promethea Moth.
