Speckled Chachalaca

Medium sized light brown bird with a speckled breast.


Found in groups perching in lower branches of trees in the Amazon rainforest of SE Ecuador.


They are known to burst out in continuous "chatter" for 15-20 seconds and then quiet again. They can be heard for some distance.
